Odette Balkisson

Odette Balkisson is executive head of Pan-Africa Finance for Sanlam Alternative Investments, a division of Sanlam, which operates in 30 countries in Africa. It has been 16 years since securing Sanlam board approval to invest in credit across Africa excluding South Africa. Odette joined Sanlam in 2009, growing this mandate into a significant business unit within SAI’s specialised credit offering. Prior to joining Sanlam, Odette worked in acquisition and leveraged finance, an incubator fund and financial reporting. She has been working in the financial services sector for 30-plus years.
