Babylonstoren pinotage

For the bunch of devout Babylonstoren vino drinkers that are the Currency crew, this is exciting news. The farm’s rosé is our summer go-to and now we’re adding this pinotage to the favourites list too.

Our pick this week:

Babylonstoren Pinotage

R139.99, Woolworths

Why we love it:

Fresh off the line, Babylonstoren Pinotage is an exclusive to Woolies that’s worth noting. Made in collaboration with the estate, it’s an elegant, well-balanced take on the varietal, focused on letting the terroir do the talking. Deep garnet in the glass, it brings notes of salted liquorice and chocolate-dipped cherries, youthful yet nicely composed. A natural partner for venison pie, roast duck, wild wors or a properly rich lasagne.
