This spectacular wine is made in crazy-sounding wine globes. We hadn’t heard of them either and so did some research. We’re amazed by these futuristic looking, hermetically sealed vessels that basically look like giant vases and make excellent wine (in the right hands, of course). Have you ever?

Our pick this week:

Diemersdal The Globe Sauvignon Blanc

R899.99, Woolworths

Why we love it:

Diemersdal’s The Globe 2023 is rewriting the rules – it’s South Africa’s first sauvignon blanc fermented in 220l wine globes, with next-level clarity and coastal elegance. Citrus, stone fruit, sea salt and sweet lily unfold into a savoury mineral finish. It’s complex, crisp and available in limited quantities from selected Woolies stores.
