Lismore Pinot Noir

What we’re drinking this week: Lismore Pinot Noir

Rose petals, cranberry and raspberry lift this elegant Lismore Pinot Noir into the WCellar Top 10. It’s light, savoury and dangerously drinkable.

Even non-pinot people (ed’s note: I mean me) can get on board with this gal. She’s on the Woolies WCellar Top 10 list for a reason, and perfect for the autumnal weather that is currently being felt everywhere but the Cape.

Our pick this week:

Lismore Pinot Noir

R499.99, Woolworths

Why we love it:

Pinot noir can be a bit particular about where it grows, which makes this WCellar Top 10 South African wine feel like a small triumph. Lismore’s version opens with rose petals and wild jasmine, before bright cranberry and raspberry take over. Light, savoury and quietly complex, it’s the kind of bottle you open “just for a taste” – and then finish.
